This question was posed to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov, said the timing of Russian Ambassador, Antaloly Antonov’s, return back to Washington, is dependent upon Vladimir Putin.
Answering the question of when the head of the Russian embassy will return back to the United States, Lavrov said: “This will be decided by Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Antonov was called back to Moscow for consultations, after President Joe Biden’s aired ABC interview. During the interview, Biden was asked whether US considers Putin a “killer,” to which he answered yes. President Biden, also said that Russia would “pay a price” for election meddling. Antonov was immediatedly called back to Russia, for consultations, on the next steps in relations, with the United States.
Since the ABC interview, the health of opposition leader, Aleksei Navalny, has deteriorated significantly, while being jailed in a brutal penal colony No 2, in Pokrov. Recall, that Navalny survived a murder attempt, sanctioned by the Kremlin, when he was poisoned with novichok. Yesterday, Navalny’s Instagram account, announced that Navalny was going on a hunger strike, after being denied access to medical care, as his condition, due to torture by sleep deprivation, worsens.
“I have the right to call a doctor and get medications. They give me neither one nor the other. The back pain has moved to the leg. Parts of my right leg and now of my left leg have lost sensitivity. Jokes aside, but this is already annoying,” Navalny said.
“I announce a hunger strike with a demand for the law to be obeyed and that I’m seen by a doctor from outside. So I’m hungry, but so far I still have two legs,” Navalny said in the Instagram post.
